Are you an experienced Learning and Development specialist with a passion for management development? Are you interested in working prestigious organisation with a focus on recruiting, developing and retaining the diverse talent needed to deliver their mission? This is an exciting opportunity to work with colleagues in Learning and Development and the wider Talent and Development team to identify, design and deliver development initiatives to raise knowledge, skills and performance of the whole organisation. This role has a particular focus on increasing management capability.

The job-holder will have responsibility for:

* Learning and development interventions to support the organisation's Talent and Development strategy, with a particular focus on management and leadership development
* Building strong relationships with stakeholders in order to provide the best T&D advice and guidance to individuals and line managers
* Working closely with HR / T&D colleagues to identify and address company wide T&D initiatives
* Monitoring and ensuring the continuous improvement of training courses and events
* Maintaining relationships with external training course suppliers, eg for technical, interpersonal and IT skills training, and procuring new L&D solutions when required
* Management of training budgets
* Evolve the training proposition to drive effectiveness, efficiencies and demonstrate value for money

Role Requirements

* Excellent interpersonal, consulting and engagement skills for building and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior staff, subject matter experts and project teams
* Significant experience in management and leadership development
* Experience in learning and development theory and application
* Ability to design and deliver training and to facilitate group discussions
* Strong oral and written communication, presentation and influencing skills
* Ability to plan and lead a range of priorities, and deliver projects to deadline, within an agreed/defined standard
* Strong team player with ability to work seamlessly with different HR and business teams

Desirable Criteria

* Financial services experience
* Knowledge and experience of identifying training and development needs
* Experience of designing and delivering development focused activities and solutions
* Knowledge of best practice approaches to learning and development
