One of our international banking clients is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to support their front office functions.

Responsibilities will include:

Build strong partnerships with business leaders in order to be able to advise, influence and coach them on all aspects of their people strategy

Build credibility with business leaders and become a true partner by understanding the business, its objectives and requirements and to deliver on these as they relate to human resources responsibilities

Be a proactive member of business Management Teams closely collaborating in joint strategies to grow and improve the business

Coach, support and challenge the senior business leaders on all aspects of their people agenda

Analyse management information and make recommendations for improvements or change to business leaders

Lead and facilitate change initiatives, influencing business leaders to operate within the Bank's policies and procedures

To work in partnership with business leaders to support business strategy whilst ensuring compliance with UK legislation, regulatory requirements, HR policy and best practice.

Keep abreast of and provide advice on legislation, changes to employment law and best practice. Also advise on all employee relations issues including; restructuring, family friendly policies, sickness and disability, performance management and conduct, reward, disciplinary & grievance matters and managed exits

Work with business leaders to identify key talent, key roles, future potential talent and identify suitable promotion candidates

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of operating at Business Partner level in a commercial environment (preferably financial services) with the ability to think strategically about business and HR issues

They will have strong knowledge of employment law and the ability to interpret and provide pragmatic and commercial advice

Experience in proactive management of people issues to produce the best outcomes for the Bank and to mitigate risks is essential.


Degree educated and CIPD qualified or equivalent

Experience working in Financial services, ideally in a medium sized organisation

Proven HR Business Partnering experience

Front office experience would be very advantageous but is not essential

European languages would be beneficial
