12 month FTC

Randstad is working with a company in the education industry who are currently looking for a HR Business Partner to join the HR Team.

You will be responsible for embedding HR initiatives including leadership and performance management, provide HR advice and support senior leadership, managers and employees.

Your role:

  • Partner closely with the senior leadership team to implement effective HR strategy, people plans, projects and operations.
  • Manage complex projects such as restructuring, organisation design, talent management.
  • Managing annual cyclical HR processes and operations
  • Coaching & advising stakeholders and senior leadership team.
  • Manage complex ER issues, keep up to date on new legislation and roll out of new and amended policies and procedures
  • Deliver on employment engagement and health / wellbeing agenda
  • Support on performance management issues
  • Supervise the HR assistants ensuring a sound recruitment service is delivered
  • Develop and manage policies and procedures
  • Advise managers on appropriate recruitment strategies


Person specification:

  • Ideally Level 5 CIPD Qualified
  • Good all round level of education to include Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A - C) or equivalent level
  • Up to date knowledge of Employment Law and its practical implementation
  • Understanding and experience of the main Employee Relations processes, e.g. sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance issues, change management and experience of advising and supporting managers in these processes
  • Experience of working with Trade Unions
  • Experience of HR information systems and of analysing HR management data
  • Experience of designing and / or delivering training
  • MS Office competency
  • Ability to draft reports and effectively communicate complex issues
