Role: HR Admin Manager (Part time) 0.6 full time equivalent

(21hours a week )

Location: City of London

Salary: £29-32kK

Lines manages: 1 person

The role

A financially independent charity is looking for a HR and Admin Manager, with solid Generalist experience that will support on a number on HR issues. This is a stand alone role but will have one direct report and will require you to integrate all areas of the management team as well as being responsible for coaching or manager in delivering across these areas.

You will be involved in a range of HR projects Into which your contribution will be valuable,. You will also have strong recruitment experience and come up with ideas for finding and attracting the best talent.

You will enjoy working in and across a small, venue-based charity with a fierce sense of independence, a clear purpose and a focus on learning and culture. You will prefer and champion a collaborative working culture, enjoy matrix working to deliver projects, and want to be plugged in across all the activity the organisation produces, not just HR and admin. You will feel comfortable forming new solutions and working at a fast pace when needed and will require minimal supervision. The successful candidate will have a CIPD qualification (minimum level 5).

Your command of the English language will be excellent, and you will be confident drafting documentation and corresponding appropriately with staff across all levels of the business.

HR areas of responsibility

To manage the delivery of the HR function and the administration across the charity , enabling them to maximise effectiveness of best practice and relevant legislation.



* Recruitment
* Induction
* Contracts of employment
* Probation management
* Performance management
* Absence and leave tracking
* Employee wellbeing
* Payroll admin
* Training and development
* Staff handbook and policies - implementation and updating
* Employment relations
* First point of contact for all staff on Hr matters

Administration areas of responsibility



* Line management of Administration Officer
* Office move planning
* Management of the agreed stationery budget and ordering process
* Management of agreed staff social events budget
* Management of timesheet processing (casual workers)
* Management of agreed training and development budgets
* Management of agreed travel budgets
* Oversight of casual worker rota planning and escalation point for any issues
* Oversight of tutor invoicing and payment process

* Experience of and commitment to collaborating within and across teams

and an understanding and appreciation of the importance of partnership

working to support the achievement of the Foundation's vision, mission

and strategy.



* 2 Ability to manage day to day duties and activities to ensure that tasks



* are achieved effectively, efficiently and to a high standard of quality.



* 3 Experience and awareness of good practice/effective approaches to

planning and delivery requirements



* 4 Demonstrable skills in working flexibly, trouble shooting and excellent

customer service skills.



* 5 Experience of working within the arts and culture sector, including adult

education, and/or a visitor attraction or understanding of our role in these

arenas and its impact on the different areas of our work
