An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Talent and Development at a prestigious and diverse financial services organisation based in central London.

This is a unique strategic opportunity and will involve taking responsibility for the Talent, Learning and Resourcing teams - identifying talent both internally and externally, providing resourcing services and consultancy, and delivering learning solutions across a wide range of topics.

This candidate will be expected to identify synergies between the three elements of Resourcing, Talent and Learning. Thinking strategically, they will need to change the model for resourcing so the internal and external pipeline of talent are brought together in a way that provides the deepest candidate pool for the organisation. They will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for managing the pipeline of senior leaders and for succession planning to senior roles. This position also works closely with the Head of Diversity and Inclusion to develop processes and approaches that accelerate the progress being made on diversity and inclusion in the workforce.

This person will be expected to set and drive strategy for learning including identifying and sourcing technical, core and management training, managing the early careers programme and performance management approach.

This is a people management role so the successful candidate will also be responsible for day to day management of the team and defining roles and responsibilities.

Essential Criteria

* Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing talent and resourcing strategies
* Significant experience of leading, developing and mentoring teams
* Experience of delivering projects and tasks through others
* Experience of managing and influencing multiple stakeholders both internally and externally up to board level
* Experience of working as part of an effective leadership team
* Experience in Talent Management approaches and systems

This role has three direct reports and supports a wider team of 25 people. It would suit a professional and experienced Talent Specialist who has worked in a large matrix structured organization and can drive the Talent agenda. Experience working in Financial services is desirable.
