In a move that reflects the demand for interim HR professionals across all sectors in the UK, Digby Morgan, the UK’s leading specialist HR search and selection consultancy, has made two further strategic appointments in the interims division at its London headquarters.

Lucy Wiggall, a Spanish and Italian graduate from Leeds Metropolitan University has also joined the interims team as a consultant. Prior to joining Digby Morgan she spent 18 months working and living in the British Virgin Islands and, before that, was on the graduate scheme at Michael Page Human Resources.

The second new member of the burgeoning interims team is Louise Blackmore. Louise has spend many years in the recruitment industry with the likes of Reed and, latterly, with Hays.

Alistair Cook, Digby Morgan’s COO and responsible for running the interims division, said: “Whilst the press would suggest we are in more ‘uncertain’ times, the interim HR market has remained resilient at certain levels throughout the first quarter of 2008 and, as a result, we have seen an increase in revenue of more than 20% compared to the same period last year.

“We’re delighted to welcome Lucy and Louise on board,” he added. “They’re joining the interims team at a very exciting time as the demand for interim HR staff remains extremely buoyant and our team is expanding rapidly to meet this demand.”

Lucy Wiggall commented: “I'm thrilled to be joining such an established market leader within the HR sector like Digby Morgan and am looking forward to helping grow the interim business still further.”

“The UK’s interim HR sector is booming and I’m thrilled to have landed such a great role with the UK’s leading HR recruitment specialist,” concluded Louise Blackmore.
