John Maxted – Chief Executive Officer
John is a founding director of Digby Morgan, establishing the business in 1988. A chartered fellow of the CIPD he started his career in Human Resources gaining experience in the oil industry, British Airways and Arthur Andersen. With over 20 years in the industry, John has built an extensive network of contacts within the Human Resource sector and is a well known figure in the HR profession. He has overall responsibility for the group but maintains strong operational involvement with the business in London.

Alistair Cook – Chief Operating Officer
Alistair is the Chief Operating Officer for Digby Morgan Group. Alistair trained as a chartered accountant before moving into executive recruitment with Hays and Robert Half, where he led the Thames Valley region. Alistair joined Digby Morgan in 1997 and has played a key management role in the expansion of the business over the ensuing period. He has focused his experience of working with clients in the technology sector and now has group responsibility for finance, technology and infrastructure.

Nicola Grimshaw - Executive Director
Nicola trained with Arthur Andersen as a chartered accountant and, before joining Digby Morgan, worked for 10 years with Michael Page in Sydney and London where she was a director. Nicola leads the business area responsible for middle and senior level appointments within technology, fmcg, pharmaceutical, retail financial services and leisure sectors. She also has responsibility for management of the Thames Valley office.

Dona-Mirelle Battat - Director
Dona is a graduate in Performing Arts with previous experience in sales and leisure management. She has worked with Digby Morgan for over 14 years and is the Director of the City practice. She has extensive knowledge of the financial and professional industries and has worked with almost all of our clients across these sectors, from global investment banks to magic circle law firms, and a range of smaller, niche players. During 2008 Dona has managed the development of Digby Morgan across the Gulf region and been instrumental in Digby Morgan gaining the first HR specialist recruitment licence from the DIFC in Dubai.

Matthew Chester – Director
Matthew joined Digby Morgan in 2004 having previously worked as a recruitment manager for Accenture and Marks & Spencer. Prior to this he worked with Norman Broadbent as a recruitment project manager working on Recruitment Process Outsourcing assignments. Matthew leads a business area focusing on entry to middle level appointments across the UK. He has account management responsibility for many of Digby Morgan’s key clients and is also responsible for major account development across the group.

David Owens – Managing Director, Australia
David established HR Partners in Australia in 1997 and joined the company in June 2007 as Managing Director of Digby Morgan Australia, following our acquisition of HR Partners. David manages the offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and has responsibility for general management, key account management and business development across the region. Prior to establishing HR Partners David enjoyed a successful career in executive recruitment in the UK and Australia.

Jacquie Beck – Chief Financial Officer
Jacquie is the Chief Financial Officer and joined Digby Morgan in March 2007. Jacquie qualified as a chartered accountant with BDO Stoy Hayward in 1990 and has 15 years experience of working in companies in the service sector. Jacquie is responsible for the UK and Australian finance teams.

Claire is a graduate in Business and History and has 10 years’ experience of working in the staffing industry. She has worked with Digby Morgan for 8 years and manages the administration and support services for the group.

Andy Montgomery - Managing Consultant, Thames Valley
Andy joined Digby Morgan in January 2008 having previously worked for nearly 10 years with the Reed Recruitment Group. For the last five years, Andy managed and developed large and complex corporate recruitment contracts, designing and implementing Managed Agency and RPO recruitment strategies across the UK. Andy leads the Thames Valley Team and in particular specialises in the senior interims market within the M3, M4 and M40 corridors.

Beth Young - Managing Consultant, London
Beth is a graduate in Management Studies with French from The University of Nottingham. She has five year's recruitment experience, having begun her career with Hays Accountancy & Finance, recruiting part-qualified Accountants within Commerce & Industry. Beth joined Digby Morgan in January 2006, focusing on permanent recruitment at the entry to mid level. She currently manages a team of 3 Consultants within the business.
